Who we are:

 FELO VILLALONGA’S BIOGRAPHY: 

He was born on January 28, 1959 in Habana, Cuba. Years later he moved to Pine Island, and he started working professionally in 1976 in a display advertising company. With excellent paint artists, receiving heritage from Spanish School, and one of the most prestigious art academies of the America’s “San Alejandro”.

Art teacher, Graphic designer and great muralist accredited in Cuba, also Studies at the Institute of Design, majoring in industrial design and interior ambient in Cuba. An extended period of solely and artistic activity exhibitions, collective, murals, environments, social, individual work and others, reaches one of the highest awards in the Cuban culture. 

Attracted by Russian artists Ivan Shinshkin greats and Ivan Aivazovsky, picking up the techniques and been Inspired by the underwater landscape of the Caribbean and its capacity experienced diver, He received influence by Catalan painter teachers Lluis Roura, Dalí, Croagna and give guidelines to focus underwater theme; then he begins his time as a few artist in the world who can paint underwater. 

Traveling from Cuban to Europe in individual and group exhibitions likes: France, Spain (Mallorca), Germany, Denmark, etc.  In its Island underwater, practice unique way of painting under the sea, appointing him as it one of the few painters who acquire art like that. In this chapter of his career, the sea becomes his biggest source of inspiration from which comes out landscapes and colors that not everyone is used to seeing.    

His usual way of working the light, sometimes most surreallistic, as if hinted a path to life, gives a spiritual sense to the issue. He all the way seek the light that comes from above and only get to see those who believe in it, Villalonga’s tells us with great faith and conviction.  He Moved to Florida, USA where he has participated in several exhibitions. 

His works have been published in catalogs as: Art Nexus, Fine Arts Habana, Cuba World Wonder; Gallery of the Americas, Miami, Matanzas, Cuba, etc.  The artist is living in Boston, Ma.
